TRAVCON was incepted in 2018 on the basis of airline growth within the Asia Pacific region projected over the next 2 decades. The team was recruited from various disciplines to address gaps and enhance the manner of which initial recruitment selection and screening was carried out. The methods employed for decades in the military were selectively identified and infused into the commercial industry through conduct of training needs analysis and customization of training programs for individuals which function as the core design principle in our programs. Our team comprises of ex-military and management pilots supported by highly experienced Aviation Psychologists, IT professionals and HR experts collaborating together to provide a holistic solution to address these shortfalls.

Our Services

Customised Training Programs

Programs are developed to address shortfalls in the industry via a needs analysis such as Aviation English, Soft Skill development and Leadership models, giving rise to a methodology which encompasses military infused techniques with current commercial aviation competency development models.

Training and Learning Psychology Assessment methods

Current assessment and selection tools by third-party vendors researched to apply the most adequate tools to assist recruitment and training shortfalls. The programs are selected to target specific demographics and in-house data analysis utilized to validate the results to achieve the desired and recommended outcomes.

Enhanced Aviation Industry HR management

To create a holistic pipeline from recruitment and selection processes coupled with Psychology Based assessment and selection models to provide an accurate vocational emplacement. It also serves to improve the management of the individuals’ personal development and their targeted aspirations.

Future Systems Experimentation

Continued study and experimentation into recent systems to update existing processes. This is associated with blending in technological advancements and validated studies into areas to improve the pedagogical learning approaches with these enhanced delivery methods. Areas of current experimentation include AR/VR/MR/LMS/Neurological studies in all processes and services provided.

Adrian Teo

Founder

Ex Military Fighter pilot and Qualified Flying Instructor. Current airline pilot for a Major Airline. Military training experience in USAF/AUS/ASIA on the SF260/T-37/T-38/S211/F-5/RF-5/PC-21 and experienced wide body long haul / regional flying experience on Airbus (A330/340/350) aircraft. 29 years in the aviation industry and specializing in Training development and Syllabus Design. NTPS Operational Test and. Evaluations qualified(OT&E) and involved in aircraft Mid- life upgrade projects as well as introduction of new training systems. Core group on Entry Into Service (EIS) of the PC-21 military training aircraft and involved with developments for simulations and mission planning tools for progressive learning and delivery.

Patrick Roussel

Co-founder

With over 15 years' commercial aviation and management experience, spanning across major international legacy airlines, low-cost international, low-cost regional as well as general aviation. Experience flying both Boeing (B737) and Airbus (A330/A350) types. A proven track record in managing and developing Safety, Risk and Flight Data systems.

Jacky Tan

Co-founder

Graduated with Honours (Distinction) in Bachelor of Business Administration from National University of Singapore (Finance Specialisation and Technopreneurship Minor). More than 15 years of flying experience with the Airforce, operating the F5s as 4-ship Flight Lead and instructing on the F15s for Ab-Initio Pilots and Weapons System Officers. Currently employed with a reputable airline, operating the B777s.

Malcolm Pinto

Co-founder

An experienced commercial and military aviator with 6000+ total flight hours in multiple aircraft platforms like the Airbus A320, Beechcraft BE76, McDonnell Douglas A4, Northrop F5, Northrop T38. Qualified Flying Instructor (Military) for the A4 and F5 fighter platforms. Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore endorsed Safety Officer and Crew Resource Management Facilitator.

Eng Han Meng

Co-Founder

Graduated with Bachelor of Honours in Psychology, University of SIM. More than 29 years of military flying experience operated in various aircraft type including the F5, F16,S211, PC21 and M346. Qualified flying instructor in both training and operational unit. Check pilot for Air Force instructional standards. Led the training transformation introducing a new training system and platform for the Air Force. Experienced in curriculum development for manned, unmanned platform with specialization in conduct of training needs analysis (TNA) Currently employed with a reputable airline based in Singapore.

Delicia Ser

Aviation Psychologist

An experienced Aviation Psychologist who has set up talent recruitment systems in the Republic of Singapore Air Force, to accurately identify talented pilot, controllers and other aviation vocations, successfully reducing training attrition. She has coached elite pilots to achieve peak performance, researched and implemented cognitive enhancement and fatigue management programmes. An expert on safety, crew resource management and aviation human factors, having developed and conducted training for safety officers in the military and is currently a volunteer Inspector of Accidents for the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau in the Ministry of Transport. Led the development and implementation of survey and qualitative approaches for organizational sensing, and led sensing efforts in employee engagement, defence opinions, and organisational climate in Ministry of Defence and Singapore Armed Forces. Provided valuable insights to top leadership, extracted through the use of data science and analytics.

Cheng Chin Yi

Aviation Psychologist

Chin Yi holds a Masters in Occupational Psychology from the University of Leicester, UK. She worked in the Republic of Singapore Air Force for 15 years as an aviation psychologist. In this role, she conducted applied research and interventions in organisational psychology in the domains of assessment/selection, organisational diagnosis, training, human factors and performance coaching. She is a specialist in aircrew selection, the development of aviation related soft-skill training programmes (e.g. resilience, learning skills and performance enhancement) and human factors education and accident investigation.

John Say

John, CEO of Saygames has been developing interactive software and experiences for 40 years. As an award winning game designer, John has a passion for blurring the lines between work and play, putting users into a state of flow so that learning and engagement are seamless and even hard to pull away from. John has helped hundreds of major brands, corporations and startups to take their ideas and turn them into viable and engaging products with a highly tailored approach to each clients project based on their goals. John never uses the same team across two projects, but rather believes strongly that each project requires a bespoke and aligned team whose passions dovetail with the project demand and client company culture. Industries served include: education, entertainment, video games, healthcare and medicine, academia, aerospace, food and beverage, motion simulations, amusement parks, automotive and many others.

Yuit Ang

Enterprise Architecture Consultant

Yuit got his foundational engineering skill through his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, but always had a passion for design and photography. This unique mix of interest allowed him to thrive in the world of user experience design as well as software engineering - a field which he has spent over 20 years contributing and developing in, contributing to the success of many unique software projects. Currently, he has accountabilities in different leadership voluntary organizations, but his day job is the CEO of the UX and software company, Inginim Pte Ltd.

Chief Design Engineer and Inventor One of the top Flight simulation experts in the world and has been involved in development of flight sims for close to 4 decades. Coincidentally, his great grandfather developed the first flight sim in conjunction with the Wright Brothers

Augustine Siew

Aviation and language Consultant

An ex-military pilot and flight instructor, Augustine graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering University of Michigan., USA. An accomplished management professional, visionary and companies owner offering more than 40 years of success in demanding management roles in military and commercial aviation training and recruitment consultancy, international airshow organisation, and language training, Augustine is an owner of 3 companies, namely: inlingua School of Languages – Singapore, Aviation Training International and IETC (EdTech). Augustine’s dream is to develop Smart EdTech in aviation and language training so that more people can benefit to achieve their dreams.

David Law

HR Specialist Consultant

David is the CEO of Talent Angels Pte Ltd it was incorporated and currently based in Singapore. It supports a wide spectrum of industries, namely in Healthcare, Information Technology, Engineering and Arts & Science. He is currently working in partnership with TRAVCON in developing automated HR processes that involves Psychology Based Selection and Assessment as well instrumental in providing the foundation for training development for personnel preparation for vocational emplacement. Apart from their Singapore headquarters, he has staff in South Korea, India, Japan, Philippines and Indonesia overseeing overseas recruitment and administration processes.

Dai Matsumoto

Dai Matsumoto is a Japanese Entrepreneur for Edu Tech and is the Founder of the mobile app “Vitae”. Dai graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Keio University, Tokyo Japan. From the start of his initial career development, Dai had been passionate about HR and providing the ability to support aspiring candidates to be matched to their choice careers. He decided to embark on a developmental journey into Edu Tech, AI utilization and HR principles since 2016 in Vietnam. He believes in supporting the candidates through learning management tools, testing and assessments coupled with support from the various industries and vocations.

Wayne Stynder

Associate Consultant

An ex-military maritime pilot turned commercial long-haul pilot, he holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Military Science (Technology and Management) from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. Serving more than 11 years Airforce, he flew PC7-MKII, C208 and C-47TP aircraft and gave ab-initio training on PC7-MKII and operational training on C-47TP. Specialist roles included Maritime Patrol, Search-and-Rescue, Paratrooping and Electronic Warfare. Squadron Roles included Maintenance Test Pilot including OT&E, Safety Officer and Instrument Rating Examiner. With 6 years in the airline industry, his experience includes over 4000 hours on A340, A330 and A350 aircraft.
